The Business Development Associate position is an entry level position in HCRI’s Business Development group and the candidate is well-positioned for growth.  The position consists in large measure of research and marketing-related activities in support of the business development cycle.

This position reports directly to the Director of Business Development and its responsibilities include:
    

• Working with Business Development senior staff to research prospects and prepare dossiers on potential sponsors and market opportunities
• Identify new target companies utilizing various levels of market research, including a variety of print and web-based sources
• Assisting in the development of business plans, strategic plans and sales & marketing plans·
• Responsible for leading the effort to pull together brochures and other marketing literature and collaterals
• Attending various meeting and conferences and promoting HCRI
• Assisting with a variety of other business and administrative tasks to support the group 

In order to succeed in this position, candidates will need to:·     

•    Work effectively with key individuals from different functional groups at HCRI as well as support staff
•    Synthesize and process disparate information 
•    Manage a wide variety and volume of projects on an ongoing basis 
•    Possess strong analytical skills
•    Communicate effectively with Managers, Sponsors and clients

Ideal candidates will have a BA in business, marketing or a related field, preferably with a focus on healthcare or the lifesciences.  Additional relevant work experience, preferably with clinical research exposure is a plus.
