Peter Zimetbaum, MD

Director of ECG and Arrhythmia Core Laboratory

Peter ZimetbaumDr. Zimetbaum is Director of Clinical Cardiology at Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center and also Associate Professor of Medicine at Harvard Medical School. His research focuses on cardiac arrhythmias, ECG waveform analysis including ST resolution, new methods of waveform analysis, and arrhythmia monitoring for clinical arrhythmia trials. Dr. Zimetbaum did his residency, chief residency and cardiology/cardiac electrophysiology training at Beth Israel Hospital in Boston. He then came on staff at Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center as a clinical electrophysiologist. He took over the directorship of the ECG and Arrhythmia Core Laboratory in 1997. He also directs the clinical activities as well as the Cardiac Intensive Care Unit at the Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center.
