Leadership Team

Spencer Goldsmith has more than 25 years experience in the field of clinical research. He has been serving as the President of HCRI since 2002. During his term at HCRI, research revenues have more than doubled and the Institute has undergone dynamic change, with the addition of industry standard data and business systems. Prior to joining HCRI, Mr. Goldsmith served for more than twenty years at Medical and Technical Research Associates (MTRA) in various capacities. As CFO he was responsible for managing the financial growth of this privately owned CRO into a mid-sized international CRO. As Chief Operating Officer he was responsible for facilitating MTRA's 1999 merger with AAIPharma. Mr. Goldsmith served as an Executive VP at AAIPharma before joining HCRI. Prior to his career in clinical research, Mr. Goldsmith practiced as a CPA for five years. He earned his MBA at Babson College and his BS from Bentley College.
